Sherlock Holmes was the creation of Scottish author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A brilliant London-based "consulting detective", Holmes is famous for his intellectual prowess and is renowned for his enormous scope of observation, his astute logical reasoning, his ability to take almost any disguise and his forensic skills to solve difficult cases. Alongside was 'sidekick' Dr. Watson !

The quote is taken from The Valley of Fear published in 1915 and set upon a Victorian street map of London (Baker St is underneath the 'w' in 'knows') and finished in black with the gorgeous gold patina of the brass shining through.

The brass cuff measures 1.5" tall and 5.5" round with an opening of 1.5", easily adjustable by using slight pressure once on your wrist. The brass (an alloy of zinc and copper) ages beautifully and uniquely; it will change patina over time and this is completely natural. The artwork I use is slightly translucent and the patterns you see are from the patina of the brass underneath. All protected under a sealant for extra durability but I would advise NOT to go rushing into the sea whilst wearing it or similar interactions with water.
