Alice's Adventures In Wonderland The Queen's Croquet Brass Cuff

Alice's Adventures In Wonderland The Queen's Croquet Brass Cuff

'Would you tell me,' said Alice, a little timidly, 'why you are painting those roses?'

'Off with her head !' screamed The Queen from Chapter Eight

From Chapter 8 of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland; completely whimsical and full of literary nonsense ! I've taken the Tenniel illustrations of the playing cards painting the white roses red and The Queen screaming at little Alice; all set upon page extracts from the novel. Classical literature lover or just mad for Alice and her companions, can you resist this truly original cuff bracelet ? Watch out for more Wonderland chapter additions to these timeless cuff bracelet designs.

I chose to use brass because it still keeps with the steampunk edge that I adore and also because it ages so beautifully and uniquely; the alloy of zinc and copper will change patina over time and this is completely natural. The artwork I use is slightly translucent and the patterns you see are from the patina of the brass underneath.

The cuff is 2" tall and 5.5" round with an opening of 1.5", easily adjustable by using slight pressure once on your wrist. The slightly transparent artwork is protected under sealer but I would advise not to go rushing into the sea whilst wearing it or similar interactions with water.

This piece is made to order so please allow 3 days before it can be shipped....things have to dry !
